As Women’s History Month comes to a close, we would like to highlight the 2026 Women’s Symposium 🌷

We had the honor of collaborating with Chico State’s Sigma Omega Phi Multicultural Sorority Inc. in hosting their annual Women’s Symposium 🤍

Our students were able to spend the day connecting with other amazing young students and creating a space focused on empowerment, education, and community!

Our students were also able to hear from our wonderful speakers Dr. Nandi Crosby, Lovebird Founder Rebecca Turri, LMFT Bianca Wilson, and Victoria Villaseñor, who shared their experiences, wisdom, and encouragement with everyone. Their stories inspired our students and made the day unforgettable.

2026 STEM Academy Recap 🧪

We had the privilege of collaborating with Chico State’s Latinos in Technical Careers (LTC) in hosting the annual STEM Academy! Our students were able to build car/robot kits with engineering students, learn about chromatography with the Chemistry club, and participate in a Human Identification Lab hosted by Anthropology graduate students! 🔬

A special thank you to everyone who attended and volunteered their time to help make this event a success!

Reflecting on a wonderful Thanksgiving break that included taking our ETS scholars to tour University of the Pacific and UC Davis!

Our students were able to learn about the admissions process and experience what each campus has to offer! 📚

ETS and Upward Bound students had the opportunity to participate in Chico State’s Healthcare Fair hosted by the Social Work Department!

Dr. Kham Vang and Dr. Claudia Ruiz inspired students with their personal, educational, and professional journeys. Resources and workshops were provided to encourage students to pursue a healthcare major/career! 🩺

ETS high school students and parents:

Join us for Latinos in Technical Careers’ virtual event “Equipando Padres” on Saturday, November 8th from 12:00pm-1:30pm! 💻

Latinos in Technical Careers is a student organization at Chico State. They are hosting this event to educate our high school students on Chico State resources that support student success, share their college journeys, and discuss their majors. All participating college students are pursuing degrees in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields. 🧬

The presentation will be in both English and Spanish!

SENIOR ADMISSIONS SEMINAR RECAP 🎓

This week we had the honor of hosting our annual Senior Admissions Seminar for the class of 2026!

Our seniors were able to hear an inspiring keynote speech from Dr. Cirilo Cortez, learn about UC and CSU college admissions, and tour the beautiful Chico State campus. Workshops were also presented on study abroad opportunities, EOP, and financial aid. ✏️

We had a great day with our ETS seniors!
