The program is designed around the belief that a child’s self-image is the most important ingredient in the learning process; believing that play is vital to a child’s learning and each child is uni

The center offers experiences that will enrich and enhance each child’s cognitive, language, social, emotional, physical and creative development. We offer a balance of self and teacher-directed activities, so that the child may develop a positive self-concept. Opportunities for solitary play as well as group activities are provided. We respect the parent's right as the primary and most important provider of care and nurturing and believe that together, parents and teachers can provide children with a feeling of self-competence and instill important cognitive concepts and promote sharing and cooperation. Our goal is to follow these positive guidelines in assisting children in:
a) Developing a positive self-concept. b) Developing curiosity about the world, confidence as a learner, creativity, imagination and personal initiative. c) Developing relationships of trust and respect. d) Understanding the value in respecting cultural diversity. e) Facilitating intellectual growth and development of problem-solving skills through manipulative games, puzzles and other learning tasks. f) Fostering their imagination through dramatic play, art, puppetry, music and movement. g) Encouraging physical coordination and development of motor skills through a wide range of challenging equipment. h) Instilling a love of literature and proficiency in language and communication skills by providing a relaxing environment that encourages verbal expression. i) Inculcating a basic knowledge of good nutrition. j) Imparting a love and respect for nature and animal life. We believe that children learn best through first hand sensory experiences of feeling, listening, smelling, tasting and observing. Children need to handle, manipulate, experiment and explore. They also need to expect certain guidelines, rules and routines in order to feel safe and secure.

Kids First Learning Center Hawaiian Luau 2026!👐🧉🍍🌸🏵🍕🧁🍪🍢
Our end of the school year HAWAIIAN LUAU for all students who’ve earned their “Pin of Honor” was a HUGE success! With traditional Hawaiian music playing in the background, we began our festivities by playing with Beach Balls and Hula Hoops, coloring a Hawaiian Wooden Craft, and then creating fabulous-looking Sun Visors, earning a Treat Bag. And then we had the best time participating in the Limbo event, and performing a Hula Dance routine we’d been practicing. After that, we performed our wonderful Humuhumunukunukuapua song about the famous Hawaiian fish wearing the Fish Hats we created, earning a special prize. This led us to our feast of Mountain Mike’s Pizza, Barbecue Chips, Jell-O, Fruit Kabobs, Sprinkled Cupcakes, Watermelon Cookies, and Hawaiian Punch. After stuffing our faces, we relaxed and watched a fun mermaid movie🧜‍♀️.

In the afternoon, we'll get to have pineapple popsicles and play with tropical colored water balloons.

A special thank you to Dawn (Cierra) for the adorable Hawaiian Straws! Everyone loved them SO much😍! Aloha! Wish you were here, Dawn. We all miss you...👐
