It is with heavy hearts that we finally make this post...
To our dearest and loyal clients, friends, and family,
We regret to inform you that as of December 19th, 2016, TNT Athletic Performance will be closing our doors. It has been an amazing 5 years and we are incredibly grateful for all of the love, support, and encouragement you have given us.
What started out as an empty metal warehouse (plus a couple crazy ideas) evolved into such a cool facility that brought together so many different sports under one roof. Closing our doors hurts more than you can imagine and is not the path we envisioned when we opened almost 5 years ago.
To those that have been with us from the beginning and watched us grow, succeed and learn, thank you from the very bottom of our hearts. Thank you to all our sponsors and the support you have given us over the past many years. Owning a business in a small community is about so much more than providing a service. It is about developing relationships, making new friends, sticking to your morals, and becoming family with the people who came into our lives and supported us year in and year out. We have made so many lifelong friends who have become family in this building. Most importantly we have watched athletes find themselves and work hard and fulfill their dreams. We have seen kids persevere through injuries and really learn what not giving up means. We have seen success. We have seen failure. And above all, we've learned the value of good people and great family.
From birthday parties, to basketball, to strength training, to that little stint of Zumba. From volleyball, to futsal, to men's leagues and AAU. From field trips and 30th birthday parties, to team building sleepovers and baseball lessons. We've been a part of a lot over the last few years. Thank you for supporting us. Thank you for believing in our dream. Thank you for encouraging and valuing us. We are so sad to see TNT go, but we are thankful to have gotten the chance to provide Chico with a place to truly unleash your potential.
It has taken us awhile to write this due to the heartache we’ve gone through to come to this decision. Many times in a small town when businesses close their doors, they tend to fade into the darkness. There have been some rumors and talk about our business here near the end, but for those of you who care to read, we wanted to go out on our terms with a final thought to all we are thankful for. We made this difficult decision because after 5 amazing but incredibly tough years, it is in the best interest of the company and our family.
Please feel free to message us on here with any questions regarding basketball lessons and AAU. Thank you.
Tyler, Teresa, and Matt

Check out what one of our sponsors was up to last month! Interwest Insurance partnered with Habitat for Humanity to help out a Vietnam War veteran get the inside of his house rebuilt after extensive water damage. It's awesome to see companies like Interwest that really care about their community and are giving back!!!
Helping a Hero in Our Community – InterWest partners with Habitat for Humanity
Most real heroes are not people of great renown. They live near us and rarely ask for help. Santiago Bonilla, a 74 year old disabled Vietnam veteran is a hero. Exposed to Agent Orange while serving his country, he uses a walker and will soon lose his legs due to severe diabetes associated with his exposure. Santiago was selected for Habitats 1st Veterans Home Repair Project after his daughter heard about the program and called to ask for help for her father. With a limited income and mobility , he was able to maintain the outside of his Elk Grove home but was unable to make repairs to the inside of his home caused by a roof that had leaked for years. His neighbors were unaware of the deplorable living conditions inside the home which included extensive mold and dry rot damage. Habitat reached out to the community to raise funds to help repair his home. Three of InterWest’s Practice Groups, Benefits, Financial Institutions and Personal Lines provided funds from their philanthropy budgets to begin the repairs.
On September 17th, a team from InterWest spent their Saturday helping with demolition in preparation for the extensive repairs needed to ensure Santiago has a safe and healthy environment to live in.
Thank you Team InterWest!

Tell your friends and family, the more the merrier!!!

One of my friends asked "Why do you pay so much money for your kids to do all their sports”? Well I have a confession to make; I don't pay for my kids to to do sports. Personally, I couldn't care less about what sport they do.
So, if I am not paying for sports what am I paying for?
- I pay for those moments when my kids become so tired they want to quit but don't.
- I pay for those days when my kids come home from school and are "too tired" to go to their training but they go anyway.
- I pay for my kids to learn to be disciplined, focused and dedicated.
- I pay for my kids to learn to take care of their body and equipment.
- I pay for my kids to learn to work with others and to be good team mates, gracious in defeat and humble in success.
- I pay for my kids to learn to deal with disappointment, when they don't get that placing or title they'd hoped for, but still they go back week after week giving it their best shot.
- I pay for my kids to learn to make and accomplish goals.
- I pay for my kids to respect, not only themselves, but other athletes, officials and coaches.
- I pay for my kids to learn that it takes hours and hours, years and years of hard work and practice to create a champion and that success does not happen overnight.
- I pay for my kids to be proud of small achievements, and to work towards long term goals.
- I pay for the opportunity my kids have and will have to make life-long friendships, create lifelong memories, to be as proud of their achievements as I am.
- I pay so that my kids can be out on the field or in the gym instead of in front of a screen...
..I could go on but, to be short, I don't pay for sports; I pay for the opportunities that sports provides my kids with to develop attributes that will serve them well throughout their lives and give them the opportunity to bless the lives of others. From what I have seen so far I think it is a great investment!
