Chico State Journalism & PR

Chico State’s student-managed PR agency, Tehama Group Communications, provides public relations services to organizations in Chico, CA.

TGC students are primarily senior Public Relations majors who work at the agency for internship credit. TGC also has photography, videography and graphic design student interns. Student interns work in small cross-functional teams to provide a range of PR, media relations, social media and creative services to local small business, nonprofits or government organizations over a 15-week semester.

Projects can include a range of media relations, marketing materials, social media strategy and content, video, graphic design, and website content. We’ve worked with organizations like Girls on the Run, Butte First Five, Chico Arts Center and many more over our 30-year history.

We set our client teams a few weeks before each semester begins and we are in the process of selecting for fall these next two weeks. If you are interested down the line you can always email [email protected] to check in!

Fees for our services range from $250-$600 for standard public relations and can go a bit higher for significant multi-media projects. We also select one pro bono client each semester.
