Shasta Elementary School

The last week of school is here and we want to send everybody off into the summer with our first ever Shasta Wave Parade!

Who: Shasta students and their families

When: Wednesday, June 3 from 9:00 - 10:30

Where: The Shasta Elementary Parking Lots (Esplanade and Leora). Please approach school by traveling north on the Esplanade, enter the side parking lot, and then make a right onto Leora coming into our main lot, going out to the cul-de-sac, and then exit from Leora Ct.

Why and What: All staff have been invited to occupy a spot in the parking lot. We will wave, dance, clap, cheer, and wave good-bye to provide closure to the year.

Please remain in your vehicles and drive safely! While we would love to give our Bobcats hugs and high fives, we remain committed to staying safely apart.

Looking for something entertaining and educational for a Saturday afternoon? Head to the Center for the Arts at PVHS to watch Mr. Kennedy’s amazing Science Show. Tell them Baxter the Bobcat sent you!

Tickets are still available for the amazing Rockin’ Robin Hood. Matinee at 1:30 and the final performance is tonight at 6:30. These kids have been rehearsing since October and it shows. Don’t miss out on one of the best shows in Shasta history!

Thanks to the Shasta Elementary PTO and our friends at Design By Humans (www.designbyhumans.com/), we are proud to distribute our PRIDE shirts to all students and staff. We welcome our new students who were recently Pine Ridge Panthers, Paradise Lions, Ponderosa Tigers and Cedarwood Bears into our wonderful school. Please encourage your students to wear their shirts this Friday. Bobcat On!

The power at Shasta Elementary went out briefly this morning. A representative from PG&E informed us the outage would be temporary. It is back on now. Bobcat On!

CHICO UNIFIED SCHOOLS OPEN ON MONDAY, 12/3/18 FOR ALL STUDENTS

Per the Butte County Office of Education, Superintendent Tim Taylor, all Butte County Schools will begin on Monday, December 3, 2018 including Chico Unified Schools.
Chico Unified School District will resume our regular school schedule.

Auditions for the school play are right around the corner. Second through fifth graders are eligible to audition. Pick up a packet in the main office.

Movie Night is back!!! See you on Friday night.

Baxter has been working hard to improve our school. Please plan accordingly for Back-To-School-Night tonight. The back gates will be open to increase the parking capacity. Bobcat On!
