SNEA hosted a Student Teacher Panel today, and it was such a great opportunity for our future teachers to get real, honest advice from those who have been in their shoes!

From classroom management tips to what student teaching is really like, the panelists shared experiences that you just don’t get from a textbook.

Big thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this event so meaningful—we love seeing our future educators support each other! 💚💛

Today we celebrate Administrative Professionals Day, and there is no one more deserving than the one and only Eileen Thomas!

For 44 years, Eileen has been the heart, history, and backbone of our department. Think about that—four decades of dedication, knowledge, and unwavering commitment to students, faculty, and staff. Generations have walked through these halls, and through it all, Eileen has been the constant keeping everything running smoothly.

She is the person who always has the answer, the solution, and the steady presence we all rely on. The work she does behind the scenes is truly what makes everything else possible—and she does it with grace, patience, and a level of excellence that cannot be matched.

Eileen isn’t just part of our department—she is part of its foundation.

Thank you, Eileen, for 44 incredible years of service, dedication, and impact. We are beyond grateful for you today and every day! đź’šđź’›

💚💛A big congratulations to our Education and SLP students inducted into the Hypatia Society! 🎉

Hypatia, one of USAO’s oldest and most distinguished honor societies (est. 1923), recognizes students who demonstrate excellence in academics, leadership, character, and service. Membership is highly selective and by invitation only.

Inductees were honored at a special luncheon, where they signed the historic membership book and received their medals—a tradition that has continued for over a century.

We are incredibly proud of these students and all they have accomplished!

We are proud to celebrate two outstanding Speech-Language Pathology majors, Hudson Woloss and Grayson McElhaney, who presented their research at USAO’s Student Showcase on Thursday, April 8! 👏

Their projects represent months of dedication through the Mentored Research Program, and their hard work truly paid off. Both students also had the opportunity to present their research last fall at the Oklahoma Speech-Language Hearing Association annual conference—an incredible accomplishment!

It’s inspiring to see our students take their research from idea to presentation at multiple professional venues. We are so proud of Hudson and Grayson for their commitment, perseverance, and academic excellence! 💚💛
