The vision of One Church One School Community Partnership Program is that every school in America will be in partnership with one or more neighboring churches to improve the academic achievement, social behavior and personal development of children. OUR MISSION

One Church One School brings together churches and schools in partnerships that teach our children to value life and to value

learning. This national network of church/school partnerships also acts as a catalyst to build bridges between other community-based organizations, social service agencies, business enterprises and schools. OUR GOALS

One Church One School Partnerships in every state of the United States
A cadre of trained church/school/volunteers in every OCOS partnership
To ensure that every child in every OCOS partnership values life and values learning
Nationwide school district implementation of OCOS church/school partnerships
Improved student academic achievement social behavior and personal development

OUR STRATEGY

It takes a village to raise a child. One Church One School utilizes the "P" Principle of total involvement to provide human and fiscal resources to support a nurturing school community environment for student development. Pastors and parishioners, principals and school personnel, parents, pupils, politicians, popular personalities, and philanthropists all connect the village to the school and child.

🎒 ONE CHURCH – ONE SCHOOL IN ACTION!

This is what partnership looks like! ❤️

The Men of Carter Temple showed up at Oliver S. Westcott Elementary School to welcome students and families on their first day of school, sharing smiles, encouragement, and a little extra love as they began a brand-new academic year. 📚

Through One Church – One School, we celebrate churches and community partners who understand that supporting our children means more than showing up once. It means showing up, staying connected, and investing in their success.

We pray for a year filled with growth, achievement, safety, and success for every student, teacher, staff member, and family at Westcott and throughout Chicagoland.

Thank you, Carter Temple, for demonstrating the power of presence and partnership. The Men of CT showed up, and they’ll keep showing up! ❤️

One Church One School proudly salutes the 41st General Conference of the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church!

As The Christian Methodist Episcopal Church gathers for this historic General Conference, we extend our prayers and best wishes to the bishops, clergy, delegates, and lay leaders who will prayerfully discern the future of our church and its ministries.

We are especially grateful to the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church for its unwavering support of One Church One School. Because of this partnership, OCOS continues to expand its reach nationwide, impacting students, families, schools, and communities. Together, we are demonstrating that faith and education remain powerful tools for transforming lives.

As the General Conference convenes, we pray for wisdom, unity, and God's guidance in every decision.
