Two of our MARC scholars presented posters at the 2022 Illinois LSAMP Symposium: Samantha Macksey and Christian Torres. And they both won first place for best poster presentations in their respective categories, Mathematics and Molecular Biology. The symposium was held at the Hilton Rosemont Chicago O’Hare hotel on Fri-Sat, February 25-26. We are so proud of them and the great presentations they gave. Our benefits include a $13,600 annual stipend for two years and up to 12 credit hours of IL-resident tuition and fees will be covered at NEIU

Eligible applicants must be US citizens or permanent residents, have a minimum GPA of 3.0, and commit to completing a minor in Mathematical and Statistical Modeling.

MARC scholars presented their research at the 28th Annual NEIU Student Research and Creative Activities Symposium held virtually on Thu-Fri, April 22-23, 2021. Senior scholar, Vada Becker, won the award for best oral presentation in the Biology/Chemistry session while junior scholar, Erica Belloso, won the best poster presentation award in STEM. Congratulations to all of our scholars!
