Flat DIBS is heading back to school! 📚🍎

Ana Tapia (COE '13) brought Flat DIBS to her Indianapolis classroom as she welcomed students for a new school year. As an educator, Ana says her time at DePaul helped shape the teacher she is today.

"My time at DePaul helped shape me into the educator I am today. I am especially thankful to have had the opportunity to meet Professor Tavano, who made my time at DePaul even more meaningful."

Flat DIBS has gone where no DIBS has gone before: quantum. ⚛️

Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence) student Karrie Chey (CDM '27) brought DIBS along to Fermilab, where she's conducting research as an Open Quantum Initiative Fellow through the Chicago Quantum Exchange. Her work focuses on machine-learning-based quantum error correction, helping advance the future of fault-tolerant quantum computing.

"At DePaul, my computer science and mathematics courses have helped strengthen the technical foundation I use in my research. I especially appreciate professors who are invested in both what they teach and in helping students develop academically."

Beyond the classroom, Karrie is also an undergraduate research assistant in Dr. Casey Bennett's lab, where she has gained valuable hands-on research experience alongside her coursework.

From a political science class he took with his best friend to leading statewide policy efforts, Ahmadou Dramé (LAS ’11, MPA ’16) has built a career around creating meaningful change.

In May, the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences honored Dramé with its Changemaker Award for his leadership in police reform, reentry advocacy and community development across Illinois.

"It was at DePaul where I had my first real service-learning experiences," Dramé says.
