Alpha Phi Omega - Sigma Sigma at UIC

APO was very grateful to attend and help out with setting up for the UIC Day of Service, 2024. This is UIC’s largest annual service event which brings together the UIC community to serve the Chicagoland area. Partnering with a lot of different sites, UIC flames take over the city to give back to our different communities.

Boba/ Primark/ Target fellowship! 🧋🛍️🛒

Busy weekend for our chapter 💙💛 On Friday our members headed over to St. Vincent DePaul Center to assist setup for their House of Cards Casino Night. Sunday our active members volunteered at the Hustle Chicago Stair Climb. We cheered on participants who enthusiastically climbed to the top of 360 Chicago. This event occurs annually, raising funds for the Respiratory Health Association’s lung disease and clean air education as well as research and policy change efforts. #alphaphiomega #APO #chicago #service #friendship #leadership

✨48th National Convention✨

Last 4 days were filled with Leadership, Friendship, Service. We met chapters from not just the United States, but also from Philippines and Canada💙💛

Special mention to Nicole Young Arman Raghian for being the voting delegates and serving as the voice of our chapter. They sat in legislation sessions of over 12 hours across two days and elected the National Board of Directors.

We received our double diamond 💎 plaques for Chapter of Excellence and Pledge Program of Excellence and the H. Roe Bartle Award for outstanding chapter administration all for 2022-23 academic year. Thank you to all the executive board members and chapter members who made a lasting impact on the chapter.

On Friday, we volunteered at the 9th Annual Ping Pong Ball with the Jackson Chance Foundation✨

The unique fundraiser allowed guests to compete in Table Tennis Tournament, play games, or bid on unique auction packages, all while removing the financial burden of parking for families with critically ill babies in the NICU. Proceeds from Ping Pong Ball benefit JCF’s NICU Transportation Program which partners with Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital, Northwestern Prentice Women’s Hospital and Rush University Children’s Hospital to provide complimentary parking passes for families with critically ill babies in the NICU.
