🌟 Alumni Spotlight: Father Dominic Clemente ’08 🌟

Father Dominic Clemente ’08 has built a life rooted in faith, service, and the Shamrock spirit. A graduate of St. Celestine and Saint Patrick High School, Fr. Dom discovered his calling to the priesthood at a young age and went on to study at Loyola University Chicago and Mundelein Seminary before being ordained in 2016.

At St. Pat’s, he was involved in everything from theatre and chess to campus ministry and the Green & Gold. Today, he continues to serve the Shamrock community as school chaplain, bringing warmth, humor, and authenticity to his ministry both in person and online. A recipient of the Shamrock Pride Award, Fr. Dom continues to live out the Lasallian mission by meeting people where they are and leading with faith and compassion. ☘️

Congratulations to recent Class of 2026 graduates Patrick Skocz, Sean Kelly, and Patrick Meade on graduating from the Chicago Police & Firefighter Training Academy (CPFTA) earlier this month!

This fall, Patrick Skocz will attend Wright College for Nursing, Sean Kelly will continue his football career at Augustana College, and Patrick Meade will study Accounting at Loyola Chicago. All three will complete EMT classes this summer as they continue pursuing their goal of joining the fire department after college.

Saint Patrick High School is proud to offer the CPFTA program, where students can earn class credit and gain hands-on experience through summer internships with the Chicago Police Department, Chicago Fire Department, and Office of Emergency Management & Communications. CPFTA students also receive hiring preference for CPD and CFD and have the opportunity to earn their EMT licenses. ☘️

A week later, and we’re still reflecting on what a special evening our 165th Baccalaureate Mass and Commencement Exercises truly was.

Inside Holy Name Cathedral, surrounded by family, faculty, alumni, and the Saint Patrick brotherhood, the Class of 2026 officially became graduates last Thursday evening.

What began with shadow days, open houses, and nervous first days at Belmont & Austin has now become a lifelong bond.
Congratulations, gentlemen. Once a Shamrock, always a Shamrock. ☘️

Recently, CTE Engineering Pathway students Hunter Aylward ’27 and Matthew Downes ’26 designed and constructed an all-new Paschal Candle Stand from scratch in Mrs. Piper’s Dual Credit Fabrication Processes class. When our chapel was in need of an upgrade, we knew who to call! These Shamrocks used their skill to build something that will now become part of Saint Patrick High School tradition for years to come. Outstanding work, men!
