Pui Tak Christian School PTCS' mission is to equip young learners academically and spiritually to be future leaders.

Pui Tak is a Pre K - 8 private Christian school located in the heart of Chicago's Chinatown. Since 1953, we have been dedicated to preparing godly leaders within our community who will be the "salt of the earth," full of hope, excelling in their educational pursuits, fulfilling their call, serving and exemplifying the Lord Jesus Christ with all their heart, soul and mind.

Ms. Vincci Chan, a seasoned PTCS early childhood educator, is leading the launch of our new Toddler Program for two-year-olds.

Designed as a year-round program, children may join once they turn two, giving families greater flexibility throughout the year.

A Warm Welcome to Taiwan’s Young Scholars 🇹🇼🤝🇺🇸

What a joy to welcome 13 university scholars from some of Taiwan’s top universities to Pui Tak Christian School!

Organized through the Culture Center of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Chicago (TECO) and the Overseas Community Affairs Council (OCAC), the visit gave these young scholars an opportunity to experience Chicago’s Asian American community and learn more about education and culture in the United States.

We loved showing them around PTCS, sharing our story, and—most of all—getting to know them!

A special thank-you to OCAC Director Ricky Lei for bringing us together and making this wonderful visit possible.

To our new friends from Taiwan: thank you for visiting PTCS! We hope this is only the beginning of a friendship that will continue to grow. 🇹🇼❤️🇺🇸

First Day of School — Welcome Back, PTCS! 🎉
What a joyful first morning!

Our elementary students were clapped into school by their teachers, while families gathered to watch and cheer them on. Our youngest students had their own first-day fun, posing for pictures with their families before heading inside.

Smiles, hugs, a little nervousness, and lots of excitement filled our hallways as they came alive again.

The halls of PTCS came alive as students and families returned for Curriculum Day and Open House!

It was wonderful to welcome both returning and new families as students met their teachers, visited their classrooms, and prepared for the start of a new school year. Parents also had the opportunity to learn more about the curriculum and hear from the teachers who will be walking alongside their children this year.

Days like this remind us of what makes PTCS special—the relationships among our students, families, and staff.

We are grateful to begin another year together and look forward to all that God will do in the lives of our students.

Ready to Welcome Our Students Back!

Today marks our final Teacher Institute Day, completing two weeks of preparation for the new school year!

Our teachers and staff have been busy with curriculum planning, instructional training, team collaboration, and classroom preparation. We have learned, planned, and prayed together as we prepare to welcome our students.

Beyond academics and instruction, our staff also received important safety training, including emergency health response, crisis prevention, first aid, and CPR—all part of our commitment to providing a safe and caring environment for every child.

We are grateful for our staff’s dedication and hard work. Now we’re ready—and we can’t wait to welcome our students back next week!

Staff Retreat 2026 — A Day to Reflect, Reconnect, and Renew

On August 17, the Pui Tak Christian School staff stepped away from the usual rhythm of preparation to worship, pray, laugh, and enjoy time together before the new school year began.

We also welcomed four new staff members through our Stones of Remembrance tradition, a meaningful reminder of the many faithful individuals God has used to build PTCS over the years, while looking ahead to the part each of us will play in carrying His work forward.

One special reflection invited each staff member to choose a bird representing a God-given quality they hope to bring to their ministry this year. Just as God intentionally created and cares for every bird, He has uniquely created and equipped each of us with different gifts, strengths, and roles to serve our students and one another.

We ended the day grateful for those who made this time of spiritual renewal and fellowship possible. With renewed hearts and a stronger sense of purpose, we look forward to seeing what God will do through the PTCS team in 2026–2027!

JSP Jumpstart 2026 — Memories That Will Last 💛

The classrooms are quieter now, but the memories of JSP Jumpstart 2026 remain.

For seven weeks this summer, God brought together nearly 200 students, 23 staff members, 40 ASM teenagers, and 100 volunteers and ministry partners. Together, we learned, worshiped, served, laughed, built friendships, overcame challenges, and created memories that will continue to shape lives long after summer has ended.

At PTCS, JSP Jumpstart has never been just a summer program. Every child, teenager, staff member, and volunteer matters. This summer, we were especially grateful to invest in our ASM youth as they grew in responsibility, leadership, teamwork, and a heart for serving others.

We’re also deeply thankful for the churches, ministry teams, alumni, parents, community partners, and volunteers who made JSP Jumpstart 2026 possible.

As everyone begins a new school year, we give God all the glory for what He accomplished in just seven short weeks.

Together, we made memories. Together, we made a difference.

Thank you, JSP family and community. We can’t wait to see you at JSP Jumpstart 2027!
