You Don’t Have to Stay Stuck
I had a caseload of sixteen 8th graders. More than half of their IEPs were outdated.
I spent the entire year trying to work around expired goals, manage behaviors, and fight for updated evaluations.
One student clearly displayed characteristics of autism — but had never been properly evaluated.
She was about to enter high school with the wrong diagnosis and no support.
That school hadn’t had a consistent SPED teacher in years. And it showed.
I was rewriting IEPs and transition plans while trying to serve students who were overstimulated, underserved, and slipping through the cracks — especially during the new high school entrance exam, which they were never prepared for.
And you know what made it worse?
I had no coaching. No support. No consistent staff.
To My Fellow SPED Teachers:
If you start at a school in August and realize by December that they are:
Failing to provide coaching or mentorship they promised…
Overloading your caseload without paraprofessional or admin support…
Can’t keep social workers, case managers, or related service staff on payroll…
Expecting YOU to manage SPED alone — and perfectly — without ever stepping into your classroom…
Allowing Gen Ed teachers to neglect collaboration, without accountability…
It’s okay to leave.
You’re not weak. You’re not dramatic.
You’re protecting your mind, body, and license.
Now What?
If you're stuck in a position like this — you need to start using AI tools.
Not in a surface-level way. Not just for writing lesson plans.
I’m talking about:
Rewriting outdated IEPs
Tracking data quickly
Building compliant goals in minutes
Supporting yourself when admin won’t
Coaching yourself out of chaos
That’s what my course does.
And this summer, I’m launching a Summer Cohort just for SPED teachers like you — so you can be fully trained on how to use ChatGPT and other tools before the next school year starts.
You won’t regret it.
You deserve support.
Let’s stop surviving and start building smarter.

Let’s get you in this summer cohort and change how you teach SPED forever.
