One of the most important parts of our camps is fostering friendships and incorporating social-emotional learning.
With all of the changes, and social distancing, we weren't sure how this might change too. While we gave up our tradition of the end of camp celebratory photo (this prior camp group asked to have their photo as a "group hug") we have been heartened that despite social distancing, kids are still able to build deep friendships during the week.

-We still see kids exchanging numbers and contact information to stay friends after camp
-We see kids giving "Virtual hugs" goodbye (you hug yourself at the same time as your friend)
We still get to have 5 more weeks of in-person camps, and we're excited to all the new friendships form!

The zombies are coming...next week!

Kids who have taken several of our programs, have always told us that our Choose-your-own-Adventure zombie camp has been their favorite (it is co-founder Amy's favorite camp too!)

It is set up to play out like a real-life (but not so scary) video game. Hear scenarios. Make choices. See how your character fares against the zombies. Plus, fun survival projects, experiments, learning about the brain (what damage happened in the zombie's brain to make a fast, smart, hungry zombie vs. a slow, not angry zombie?).

Dragons, Potions, and Mysteries Next week!

Get sorted, make a wand, learn dueling, take daily potions classes, and solve a mystery!
When there is a mysterious creature infiltrating our wizarding school, learn about different dragon species, explore dragon anatomy, design our own flying, racing dragons, and create dragon eggs!
