LEARNING STRATEGIES: PREPARING SENIORS FOR COLLEGE
This quarter, Learning Strategies partnered with English IV Honors to give seniors a meaningful preview of how they will access accommodations in college. Through a simulated Learning Strategies Accessibility Center process, students practiced requesting accommodations, communicating with a professor, and following the steps needed to receive support on assessments. Seniors also participated in a Genio Learning Strategies pilot, comparing different note-taking approaches and reflecting on how their notes supported quiz preparation. Together, these experiences helped students build the self-advocacy, communication, and executive functioning skills they will need to take ownership of their learning in college.

Wolcott’s literary and art journal, unPacked, is here!
Now in its eighth year, unPacked celebrates the creativity, voice, and imagination of Wolcott students across writing, visual art, photography, digital media, and music production. This year’s edition, unPacked, Vol. 8: “unCharted,” invites readers to explore new paths of inquiry, interest, and imagination through the work of our student authors, artists, and musicians.
Created through the collaboration of Creative Writing students, editors, designers, faculty, and contributors from across the school, unPacked is a celebration of student expression.
Congratulations to all of this year’s published contributors!
