We unfortunately could not field all requests to purchase items. I was not feeling my best.
We will take offers today from 9am-12pm.

We are getting rid of some good stuff. We also have a few more shelves, benches (high quality and heavy), chairs and more tables, small fridge, baby toys, teacher items, craft supplies, small kid table and chairs plus.

Last chance to do camp with Luna y Cielo. Next week we only have capacity for camp 3 days.
We had so much fun at day off yesterday. It was my first day back to work since December. And I cannot tell you how much my heart was full seeing all the kids play and learn in Spanish with Maestra Edna. She truly is a gem.
Seeing the older kids use their escritura to build their stories and assist the younger campers in using their imagination was incredible.
The worst part of our campers' day is leaving. I'm so happy that we have created a safe space to learn Spanish and foster the love of Spanish.

Please bare with us. It's been awhile since I've been back to work. Today I was supposed to cover a shift but unfortunately I won't be able to make it in.

Happy New Year 🪅 I wanted to update everyone as I have some major health issues which will keep me on medical leave for awhile. I'm currently in the hospital waiting for brain surgery which will hopefully be January 5th.
I have a really rare brain disease called Idiopathic Intercranial Hypertension where my brain produces too much fluid. Right before opening LyC I was diagnosed and have been seen regularly by my neurology team for 3 years now.
I have already exhausted my medicine options and my neuro surgeon team has decided that corrective surgery is my best option. Over the last few months my symptoms have increased which landed me in the ER just before the end of December.
My team at Luna y Cielo is working to keep things running smoothly while I recover. Please show us grace as I won't be there everyday for awhile.
I will be very transparent and say that my lease ends at the end of March and with everything going on it's safe to say that we will only be operating at the current location until February/March.
So please make sure you use your passes and take advantage of our classes. You can still register for classes, open play, and parties until February. I still need to figure out when I will reserve time to work on removing items from our current location.
Things are still up in the air if I continue looking for a new space or not. Right now I'm focused on my medical leave.
My husband has been my rock during this process. Keeping the kids entertained, visiting me everyday at the hospital, bringing me food cause hospital food sucks, taking the kids to make a basket of snacks and stufg to keep me entertained, bringing the kids to see me at the hospital while my nurse snuck me down for 5 minutes to hug my kids, coordinating with my mom, my suegros and cuñados to watch the kids, and plan school pick up and drop off with our friends. The support is supporting. 💕
Can't wait for all of this to be over and to get home and rest.
Over the last year we have been tinkering with plastilina play. So naturally we will be making an interactive rosca de reyes out of playdough. Join us as we celebrate los Reyes Magos.
We will also be partaking in cutting the rosca. If you win the baby, we will invite you to make a donation to who has tirelessly been working to protect our community during ICE raids.
