If you binge eat, it's not because you're broken. This behavior is meant for you, because it is there to teach you something you need to know about yourself, about life. But if you never stop binging, if you never lift your head up, you won't be able to see the lesson at all.

You have to decide to stop. then actually stop. then listen. It will be painful, but it will get better.

I promise.

Every behavior is a symptom waiting to be understood.

Binging is often associated with swallowing your emotions - suppressing what is too painful to feel or process. Binging is a way to keep you safe when you feel out of control

Purging is often related to speaking, or being unable to speak, your truth. What is right for you, what is right for your life? What do you need? If you deny your soul the ability to speak freely, purging becomes a way to cope.

The more violent the behavior, the more urgent the message.

Don't ignore yourself any longer, instead - ask....what do I truly need in this moment?

Every day you make hundreds of little decisions. Every one of them matters my friends.

Take a look at this:

"So often we convince ourselves that change is only meaningful if there is some large, visible outcome associated with it. Whether it is losing weight, building a business, traveling the world, or any other goal, we often put pressure on ourselves to make some earth-shattering improvement that everyone will talk about.

Meanwhile, improving by just 1 percent isn't notable (and sometimes it isn't even noticeable). But it can be just as meaningful, especially in the long run.

In the beginning, there is basically no difference between making a choice that is 1 percent better or 1 percent worse. (In other words, it won't impact you very much today.) But as time goes on, these small improvements or declines compound and you suddenly find a very big gap between people who make slightly better decisions on a daily basis and those who don't.

Here's the punchline:

If you get one percent better each day for one year, you'll end up thirty-seven times better by the time you’re done.

Emotional eating is not about food. If you continue to focus on controlling food it will not solve your emotional eating.

Emotional eating requires you to focus on, pay attention to, process and feel your emotions.

When you do this, your emotional eating will resolve itself.
