Writers Guild, one of the UCWbL's Writing Groups, is a multigenre, non-evaluative creative writing group for all DePaul community members.

As one of the DePaul University Center for Writing-based Learning’s (UCWbL) Writing Groups, Writers Guild continues their mission to “provide opportunities for members of the greater DePaul learning community to exchange ideas, provide and receive feedback, and participate in academic conversation in a setting where all voices are heard and valued.”

We strive to foster a sense of community that

values feedback outside of the classroom by creating an environment where DePaul writers (both current and alumni) workshop their writing and share at our quarterly open mic, Aloud!. We meet Wednesdays and Thursdays from 6:00-7:30pm in the LPC Writing Center, SAC 212. Learn more about the UCWbL:

Dear writers, in line with DePaul's precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19, we are sadly suspending in-person meetings for the moment 😞 however, we are brainstorming workarounds so we can keep this lovely community up and running!
