Where Are They Now?
From LSTC to Puerto Rico, Lydia Hernández-Marcial (ThM ’15, PhD ’20) continues to shape the next generation of biblical scholars as Assistant Professor of Old Testament and Biblical Hebrew at Seminario Evangélico de Puerto Rico in San Juan. Through her teaching and scholarship, she brings LSTC’s commitment to rigorous theological education into classrooms and communities across the Caribbean.

Please join us in welcoming Dr. Elyssa Salinas-Lazarski to the LSTC community!
Beginning July 1, Dr. Salinas-Lazarski will serve as Visiting Assistant Professor, Louisville Institute Postdoctoral Fellow, and Strategic Alliance Coordinator for the Lilly Pathways Grant. An LSTC alumna and accomplished scholar, educator, writer, poet, and performer, her work explores theology as lived and embodied experience across culture, identity, community, and the arts.
Drawing on Lutheran incarnational theology, q***r Latina theology, phenomenology, and arts-based pedagogy, Dr. Salinas-Lazarski brings a passion for accessible, transformative theological education and a deep commitment to student learning.
We are excited for the leadership, creativity, and vision she will bring to our classrooms and community.
