LEARN Romano Butler opened its doors in Chicago’s North Lawndale community on the west side in 2001 and now proudly serves over 600 scholars, pre-kindergarten through eighth grade. Our commitment to LEARN’s five core values and providing families in the community with a college preparatory elementary education is paramount. As principal, I look forward to continuing LEARN Romano Butler’s tradition of excellence and success in the classroom and beyond.

Our 8th grade young men are on a powerful journey as they prepare for their Tied to Greatness rite of passage ceremony! ✨ Last Wednesday, they kicked off a series of workshops designed to inspire leadership, character, and confidence — and even had the incredible opportunity to meet the Mayor of Chicago at City Hall. 🏛️It was an unforgettable experience that left a lasting impact on our boys as they continue to grow into the leaders of tomorrow. ❤️💜

As a reminder, LEARN follows the local district for school closures due to weather. If the district schools close, open late, or close early, LEARN schools will do the same. For Chicago schools, we follow CPS. For the Schreiber Campus in Waukegan, we follow CUSD #60. For North Chicago schools, we follow District #187. For LEARN D.C., we follow DCPS.

If there are no changes communicated by the district, we will open on time and operate the full day. Please tune in to your local news station for updates.
