Taft Performing Arts is excited to announce that we do have online ticketing available now for DISNEY'S THE LITTLE MERMAID at https://tafths.booktix.com/ thanks to Friends of Taft. In addition to buying your tickets for the show, be sure to buy tickets for Taft Night Out https://friendsoftafths.betterworld.org/events/taftnightout25, which is today, April 11.

Among the items up for auction at Taft Night Out is a framed poster which has been signed by the full cast and lead crew members. The winning bid also gets a voucher for four free tickets to see Little Mermaid. In addition, there are a number of experiences available, including tickets to see shows at some of the theatres with whom we've partnered over the years.

Taft Performing Arts invites you to be part of our world as we present DISNEY'S THE LITTLE MERMAID for this year's spring musical. The production will be staged April 24-26, 2025, in the Taft Auditorium. Tickets are available at tafths.booktix.com, and they will be sold at the door starting 1 hour prior to each performance. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students. Concessions will be available for purchase as well. Only cash will be accepted.

Bryan Wilson is serving as lead director, with Katherine Foster as music director, Caitlin Graham as associate director, and Logan Jones as assistant music director.

DISNEY'S THE LITTLE MERMAID is based on the Hans Christian Andersen story and the Disney film that was produced by Howard Ashman & John Musker and written & directed by John Musker & Ron Clements. The show includes music by Alan Menken, lyrics by Howard Ashman & Glenn Slater, and a book by Doug Wright, and it was originally produced by Disney Theatrical Productions.

Taft Drama is excited to announce this year's spring musical, DISNEY'S THE LITTLE MERMAID, which will run April 24-26 in the Taft Auditorium. Auditions will be held Jan. 22-23 in the Choir Room (VC 173) and are open to all Taft students. Please pre-register using the form on the Drama Club classroom. She Kills Monsters: Young Adventurers Edition tells the story of high schooler Agnes Evans as she deals with the death of her younger sister, Tilly. When Agnes stumbles upon Tilly’s Dungeons & Dragons notebook, she finds herself catapulted into a journey of discovery and action-packed adventure in the imaginary world that was her sister’s refuge. In this high-octane dramatic comedy laden with homicidal fairies, nasty ogres, and ’90s pop culture, acclaimed playwright Qui Nguyen offers a heart-pounding homage to the geek and warrior within us all. She Kills Monsters is the second production of the 2024-25 Taft Drama Season. First is the upcoming production of LIZZIE, a rock musical about Lizzie Borden which runs Oct. 23-26 in the Taft Black Box Theatre. Tickets for Lizzie will only be sold at the door.

Here's our first show of the season. It's a bloody good time!

On the first day of the new school year, we had at least 48 students attend our Drama Club kickoff meeting. While our fall musical LIZZIE has already been cast, we will be auditioning students for the fall play SHE KILLS MONSTERS (ya ed.) and our Sir Earless Society project, TWO HUNTERS DREAM OF LAS VEGAS AND/OR THE MOTORCYCLONE, on Wednesday at the Varsity Campus and Thursday at the Freshman Academy. It's a busy season, and we'll hope you'll come along for the ride!
