I've been teaching yoga for over 20 years, in Chicago and my second home in Southwest Michigan. As a lifelong athlete and fitness enthusiast, I discovered yoga at a physically and mentally stressful time in my life. The effects of yoga on my health and wellness were so profound that I made it my vocation to teach. I received my 200-hour certification at Dancing Feet Yoga in New Buffalo, Michigan, and completed my Advanced Level Teacher Training certification at Yogaview Chicago. I recently completed my Level 2 Reiki Practitioner Certification. I currently teach at several of Chicago’s premiere yoga and fitness studios, including East Bank Club, Midtown Athletic Club, the Chicago Athletic Clubs, and Yogaview. I continue to teach classes and create unique yoga “events” in Michigan, combining wine and yoga at Dablon Vineyards in Baroda; live music and yoga at the beach in Benton Harbor; and most recently, art and yoga with my friend and watercolor artist, Julie Christian Bender. I infuse my classes with passion, creativity, and a spirit of playfulness. I strive to challenge and inspire my students while emphasizing safe alignment and breath awareness. I am passionate about inspiring others to adopt healthy and happy lifestyles, full of positivity, play, and plenty of paprika. I see every moment as an opportunity—to embrace life, to care for others, and to love without judgment. When I'm not teaching yoga, I go to as many concerts as I can, love to cook for friends and family, and drive my vintage 1971 Buick Riviera on the country roads in Michigan.
