We would like to wish everyone a happy and safe 4th of July!

The School Office will be closed today and tomorrow. We will resume our regular hours on Monday, July 8th at 9:00am.

Congratulations to Mrs. Lori Martinez on her well-deserved retirement following 30 years of service to our Catholic School Community!

Mrs. Martinez has been a beacon for all of us in some form or another in her three decades serving our Catholic School Community. Originally from Little Village, a graduate of Blessed Agnes Elementary School, a student of Lourdes High School, an honorably discharged member of the United States Army, and a lifetime serving Good Shepherd and Epiphany, few know service to God and Country like Mrs. Lori Martinez.

Upon her family’s return to Chicago, Mrs. Martinez accepted the calling as the Secretary at Good Shepherd Catholic School in 1994. She faithfully served there until her closing in 2005, at which point, she thankfully welcomed the same role at Epiphany. Her passion for Catholic Schools and for sharing with new families how much more their children will grow here was always evident. Notably, her work ethic is a large reason why Epiphany remained open and grew; meanwhile, her vision was a large reason for the reopening of Good Shepherd. Furthermore, her family was raised similarly with these core values and her children, and for their service, we are also forever grateful. The Martinez Family has been invaluable in our success!

Mrs. Martinez is the backbone of our School Community, the anchor of reason, and the motherly voice many of us have needed... she will be very very much missed. Thank you all who joined us in celebrating her legacy at her Retirement Party, it meant so much to see so many familiar faces!

Congratulations again to Mrs. Lori Martinez! You are always in our prayers, and may you have a blessed and rewarding retirement!

Congratulations to Mrs. Olga Martinez’s 3rd Grade Class for winning our Catholic Schools Week Bulletin Board Contest! Students celebrated with an Ice Cream Party on a nice warm day during the last week of school.

Our students performed exceptionally well on their annual diagnostic tests! A special shout-out goes to these 8th grade students that even tested out of iReady!

Just in case you missed it, our pilgrimage to the Shrine of Our lady of Guadalupe, on Día de las Madres was recently published in Católico Newspaper.
