Grainger, “For the ones that get it done” 💪🏻

This past week two or our Eboard members, Sahar and Shay, had the honor of representing DeWiB at Grainger’s Crush your Career event at their Merchandise Mart office 🤩

They did an amazing job of providing young professionals with resume tips, interview skills, networking opportunities, a tour of the office, and more!

Introducing Miranda Garcia 💫

Miranda is serving as the Social Events Chair for the 2022-23 academic year. She is a Senior studying Accounting with a minor in Community Service Studies.

She says “I love DeWIB because of opportunities to both connect with members and focus on professional growth together! Having a supportive community of women has really been uplifting and inspiring.” :)

A fun fact is that she traveled abroad for the first time this year for her 21st birthday by going to Costa Rica! 🏝

Introducing Riley Coesens‼️

Riley is serving as the Professional Events Chair. She is double majoring in English and Marketing with a minor in Economics.

She said “I love making connections with the wonderful women in DeWIB and am looking forward to having opportunities to share more fun, engaging experiences with one another - every member has something to contribute that will help to empower all of us toward our business-oriented goals!”

Her fun fact is that she’s been a competitive swimmer since she was 6 years old!

Meghan is serving as Co-VP of Marketing. She is a junior studying Digital Marketing.

Meghan says “I love DeWIB because their networking events lead me to landing my most recent internship opportunity at Rise Interactive!”

Her fun fact is that she loves to sing in her free time!

Meet Sahar Ali 🤩

She is a sophomore studying Digital Marketing with Minors in Finance and Sales Leadership!

She says… “ I love DeWIB because it gave me some of my most closest friends and a great community of like-minded women who are career focused. It also gave me an amazing professional network.”

Fun Fact: “I am very athletic and love playing sports, like badminton, tennis, volleyball, swimming, and even table tennis (it’s not called ping pong).”

Meet Zainnab Shareef!

Zainab is a senior studying marketing apart of the IME honors program. She says, “I love DeWiB because its amazing wiring with strong and devoted women who wanna excel in their careers. It is truly inspiring. Through this organization, I have learned how to network and put myself out there.

A fun fact about her is that this summer she saw her favorite artist the Weekend perform! It was her first and best concert 🎶

Meet Shay Finn: Co-VP of Marketing ✨

Shay is a sophomore studying Digital Marketing. She said “I love DeWiB because it perfectly balances professional growth and social connections! DeWiB has created an inclusive, fun, and educational community at DePaul. It’s unlike anything I’ve experienced before.”

A fun fact about her is that she failed her drivers test twice!!

We had a blast hanging out with DeWIB members last Friday over delicious pizza at Pizza Parlor Bar!

Thank you to the DeWIB members that attended our social! We enjoyed spending time with you all! 😊

Did someone say inspiring? Last Tuesday we had the honor of collaborating with the DePaul Marketing Department to host the 3rd annual leading women in business panel! Our members had a wonderful experince hearing from these six amazing women and left the panel feeling inspired and empowered!

A huge thank you to all of our wonderful panelists, Jackie Kuehl, the marketing department, and everyone who came out!

We can’t want to put on more events like these in the future!
