Calling all history majors! NEIU just announced a "Transfer Student Stipend Program" specifically for students that are majoring in history!

$1,000 will be awarded to any community college transfer student who successfully completes the following three steps:

Be admitted to NEIU as a degree-seeking student.
Declare History as a major.
Pass 9 credit hours three 300-level history courses with a 2.5 GPA.
Students may complete all 9 units in one semester or longer, and all courses must count toward a BA degree in history at NEIU.

The Cooke Transfer Scholarship is for the nation’s top community college students seeking to complete their bachelor’s degrees at four-year colleges or universities. Each Cooke Scholar has access to generous financial support for two to three years, college planning support, ongoing advising, and the opportunity to connect with the thriving community of fellow Scholars.

The deadline for the application, which is completed via Common App, is January 11, 2024. Find our more about the program and how to apply through the link in our bio.

The district-wide Monarch Fund provides students attending City Colleges with the opportunity to receive funds toward their credential/degree completion efforts at any of the seven City Colleges of Chicago or any of the three satellite locations.
