WRD prepares students to excel in the wide range of contexts in which they will write, think, & live

Writing, Rhetoric, and Discourse is home to DePaul's First-Year Writing program. The department also offers a Minor in Professional Writing and a major in Writing and Rhetoric. At the graduate level, the Master of Arts in WRD addresses writing in professional and technical contexts, the preparation of post-secondary teacher-scholars in writing, and the study of language for writers. The Combined BA/MA in WRD allows undergraduates to begin taking graduate courses in their senior year.
