Prologue, Inc operates private, alternative, charter high schools for young people 16 to 24. Houston High School
• Joshua Johnston Fine Arts & Design Charter School
• Prologue Early College High Schools
• Winnie Mandela Intergenerational High School


Prologue is a multi-site, community-based high school and GED program founded in 1972, serving 500 students, ages 17 to 21 in grades 9 through 12.

Prologue Inc. is an education institution North Central Accredited and recognized by the Illinois State Board of Education. We grant our own diploma to fulfill contractual obligations with all our funding sources. Graduating students must pass the Federal /Illinois Constitution Test, score acceptably on other exams, and have performed several hours of community service. Prologue was among the first members of the Alternative Schools Network.
