Hello, old friends. It's been a minute.
I assume you all know what's happening today? The Chicago copper may or may not be found guilty of any degree of murder. A guy may or may not be selected to be a Supreme Court judge. And either way this one or that goes, we all may be fu**ed.
If you're in Chicago, get out of town. The judge won't give the decision of the jury until Tuesday because why let the city burn to the ground over the weekend when it can be done after Columbus Day, on Tuesday?
The city will riot. It will no be a peaceful protest. It will go boom quicker than the Cubs being removed from the playoffs.
This weekend, schools will be closed for Tuesday and Wednesday. Business will board up their windows and doors. At noon on Tuesday, the streets will be as packed as the roadways of the East coast filled with folks trying to escape the upcoming hurricane. At 5 PM, Chicago will be remanant of the child peacefully sleeping in her bed waiting for Saint Nicholas to arrive.
And then the s**t storm will arrive. It will be those who are upset the verdict wasnt strict enough. Or those who feel it was too much. Either way this goes, this city will riot.
They will say he was doing his job. They will say he was no threat. They will say the result was based on the color of his skin. They will say the result was based on the color of the others skin. They will say they demand justice. They will say the system is broke.
And they will be right. No matter which they, they are.
Its 10 am on the Friday before The Windy City disappeared.
Rest easy.

I'm angry. You're angry. Might be the same things. Most likely not.
When's the last time any of you have read a thing on this page?
They say he may have been disturbed. Or angry. Or depressed. Or just wanting to die himself. Was there anything which could have been done to prevent it from happening, this mass murder? Some will say no. Others will say yes. But we'll never know either way. The suits in Washington have the power to try and stop this from happening again, but they wont. They won't because it's the 2nd ammendmant right to have guns. And they wont because their campaign sponsors who give millions of dollars are connected to gun activists and gun producers. But when the 2nd was written, it took 15-minutes to load a gun and fire a shot. Not 200 rounds in 30-seconds. The people killed: mom's, dad's, brothers, sisters, teachers, nurses...did not deserve this. Nobody did.
Time to wake up Washington. And if you don't, consider this term you're serving now for our country your last.
So, I just woke up from a rather long nap (a few years, I think) and discovered a reality star* is the new president? Who the hell was doing the voting?
It's a sad fact, really, a man can be elected president in this country based on a flawed system of electoral votes vs. a popular vote. I mean, when all you need to do is win the states with the majority of these votes, why not blow all the smoke you can up these folks asses to gain the thumbs up from these people? I mean, p**s on Maine, Rhode Island and the other smalls, but really go after the retired in Florida, know what I mean?
F**k women's rights, black lives matter, freedom of religion, speech and the right to carry a gun. Let's tell the retirees down by Mikey Mouses house we're going to construct a wall to keep those evil Hispanic/Mexican folk outta dodge, right?
How, in the name of God (can I still use her name in this country?), did this guy fool so many of you?
Looks like I'll be sleeping for the next 4-8 years. Unless there's talk of the "I" word. Anything yet?
Spring is supposed to be the time of year filled with the rebirth of all things. A new start. A fresh beginning. The time of year which flirts with the majestic idea of removing the bland and dull to be replaced with the beautiful and inspiring.
Looking out a window of this coffee shop in Chicago, the ground is covered with snow again. The streets are a slushy mix of grey s**t, salt and the water being thrown up by the fine drainage system Chicago offers. (It’s all melted and gone now.)
The 2015 baseball season is less than 10 days away (a week and a half in and the Cubies aren’t looking to bd. Yet.) but the renovations to Wrigley Field are still not finished and won't be for some time. Some bleachers here. No bleachers there. But a video screen the size of half the towers reaching the sky downtown will be up and running for the first pitch. Angering most of the owners of buildings around the park because they will no longer be able to steal the product produced across the street on the ball diamond.
The grill on my back patio has been violated by a wanna be thief, a neighbors dog or the gusty breezes of this Windy City. None of whom will claim responsibility for the damages caused to my beautiful steel grilling beauty for reasons unknown to me. (Landlord still will not recognize the grill was ever there to be damaged by anyone.)
Mayor Rahm is ready to fight a cat named Chuy (Chewy, like gum - Rahm won.) for his office in city hall. It's looking like it will be an interesting event for all to witness. They both speak of the removal of red light cameras and how to stop robbing the neighborhoods in Chicago of money. Certainly, nothing more than a strategy to earn more votes next month. But based on the last debate, I know where my vote is going. A Fiesta will be had.
The house I rent is scheduled for demolition. Not by the city or the owner for a faulty foundation or leaking pipes. By me for it being a 1984 Camry with a fancy paint job and slick new rims. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. It's not, however, in the eye of the renter. (it’s still standing.)
The price of smokes will go up again soon bringing the total for a pack to $73 and change. A law banning me from smoking in my own vehicle while stopped at a red light next to a vehicle with minors in it will soon follow. Law breakers punished with fines up to $1,000. But a child ra**st can live free in a state funded facility, earning an Associate Degree in child psychology and offered a job when reaching parole before either of the degrees I hold land me a position to help clear the disgusting amount of cash I need to pay back for the school required to earn them. (still owe it.)
The Land of Opportunity, friends. Happy Spring.
The mom of a student at a school where a shooting has happened went in to a Church one evening after the shooting had happened to vent her anger at the Lord for allowing the terrible event to take place.
"God...if you love us and want us to become the greatest people we can, with your guidance, why do you allow for such violence and death to happen to the young children who are being killed every day in this country and around the world? Why can't you only take the deadly criminals and people who commit such acts of violence and leave our babies here to grow? If we believe and follow what your book has told us, you are in control of everything which happens here on Earth. I believe and follow these things, but am confused as to why you are letting our babies be killed in schools around the world. Why wont you protect them?"
As she finished, a bright light poured through the Church windows and a voice came from the air:
"My beautiful child, your inquiry is just and understood, but I must remind you, I am not allowed in schools."

Why does it seem every time a female is arrested and charged with s*xual acts with a minor; be it a minor of the same or opposite s*x as the woman, she seems to be punished less harshly than a man?
Before you get your panties all bunched up, don't misconstrue what I've just said and think I am advocating for s*xual activity with minors, because I'm not in any way. But what I am saying is if a male has s*x with a minor, he's going to prison. I don't mean an 18-year old guy and his 15-17 year old sweetie, I mean the guy who is 45 and having s*x with the 14-year old. That some-bitch is gonna got sit in the big house for a bit.
Former School Bus Driver Pleads Guilty To S*x With Minor Girl - CBS Chicago A former Woodland School bus driver was sentenced to extensive probation Thursday in a negotiated guilty plea to the s*xual abuse of a 16-year-old girl.

Pretty much just signed your "retirement" paper, officer.
47-year-old Cassandra Feuerstein is suing a police officer and the town of Skokie claiming she was seriously injured when a cop threw her face first into a jail cell’s concrete bench following a drunk driving arrest.
“The video speaks for itself,” says the woman's lawyer. “She does nothing to justify what this male police officer does.”

He's good. Read him.
"You're a stay-at-home mom? What do you DO all day?" It's happened twice in a week, and they were both women. Anyone ought to have more class than this, but women -- especially women -- should damn well know better. Last week, I was at the pharmacy a...
