What a day at the Battle of the Buns 🔥🍔
First and foremost—huge congratulations to the winners, our friends at Babe’s Meat Market! Jason and Mel, you guys absolutely brought it. Your support over the years has meant so much to the Bishop’s Pitmaster BBQ team, and it’s been incredible to grow, learn, and share this journey alongside you. Well deserved 👏
Yesterday was something special. After traveling the country cooking in so many amazing places, believe it or not… this was the very first time we brought the smoke, fire, and flavor of Bishop’s Pitmaster BBQ to the Village of Palmetto Bay. And to do it surrounded by so many local residents, families, and friends made it even more meaningful.
Events like this don’t just happen. They take months—sometimes years—of planning, and thousands of hours of effort from hundreds of people to bring it all to life in a single day.
A heartfelt thank you to the Village of Palmetto Bay, the Parks & Recreation team, the Village Board, and every single person behind the scenes who made Battle of the Buns possible. You created something truly special for this community.
There’s something powerful about gathering around open fire and great barbecue. It brings people together in a way that reminds us we’ve got a lot more in common than we think.
Grateful for the experience. Grateful for the community. And just getting started right here at home.

As this Bears season wraps up, I can’t help but look back and smile at some of the best tailgating moments we’ve had in years — great football, great food, and even better people. Friends, fellow Bears fans, family, and so many new friends brought together for one reason: loving our Bears and doing game day the right way.
And none of this happens without one man having a great idea years ago…
Tim Shanley — HUGE BEAR DOWN to you, my friend, for creating the Chicago Bears Tailgating Club and building something that’s become pure game-day magic for so many of us. What a year of tailgates and Bears action! 👊🔥
