Our teams are always exploring the locations where our summer camps are located and everywhere we go there are tasty treats. Some are homemade desserts and a few of the places even have special photo props for visitors like Mrs. Mandy's Frozen Cottage. 📷
What have some of your favorite treats been the past few weeks? Share in the comments!

Look at some of the awesome things our Compass teams get to see while working with students! Last week, our team was in Bellefontaine, OH, at the beautiful Holland Theatre (with working windmills inside) and they were able to walk on the Oldest Concrete Street in America that was built in 1891.

Those who know our co-founder, Cathlyn Melvin know that talking about bravery (and creativity) is nothing new for her - she's been helping us learn that for years!
We're over the moon that her TEDx talk went live today where she gets to share that message wider with the world!
Drop a 💙 in the comments to show your love for her and come back and tell us what stood out to you after checking out her talk!

This might seem batty to you, but did you know when bats have to use louder echolocation than normal, they burn a lot more energy - so they have to eat more to be louder? The Science Journal for Kids did a study with nine bats in wind tunnels and used different noise settings to test it out.
Taking care of your voice and knowing how to energize it properly is important in theatre, singing, and even talking on the phone. So take it from the bats – rest up, eat (and hydrate) plenty so you can take the best care of your voice and "hang out" longer on - and off the stage!
Why do bats need more food to call louder? - Science Journal for Kids
Scientists wanted to find out if a bat needs more energy to echolocate loudly. Scientific article for students.
