Swing by your child’s classroom, drop off your school supplies and meet your child’s teacher on Thursday, August 20 for kindergarten through 8th grades. Stay on the playground afterwards to reconnect with old friends and meet new ones!

K-8th new family orientation is 8/20 at 1pm in the main building.
PreK Orientation is 8/24 from 12:45-2:30pm in the PreK Building.

Alcott is implementing an updated device-free policy along with tools to support our students and teachers to create a more focused and engaging learning environment. While our school is currently phone-free we have updated our policy for maximum efficacy.

Policy Details:
Phones and smartwatches cannot be used or seen during the school day. Students will be required to leave their devices at home or store them in designated areas on campus. Students cannot access their phones or personal devices for the entire school day. Alternate forms of communication will be made available for urgent matters.

All incoming PreK families are invited to join us in the Alcott playground on Monday, August 10th and Saturday, August 15th for a preschool playdate!

What to bring:
✔️Printed copy of the Fingerprinting Background Investigation Authorization and Release Form
✔️Government issued ID

To volunteer for Alcott field trips and other events where a CPS teacher is not present the entire time, parents and guardians need to become a Level 1 volunteer. One of the requirements to become a Level 1 volunteer is to get fingerprinted (required each school year).
FOA is hosting 4 fingerprint drives on July 13, July 14, July 15 and July 16 at the Alcott PreK Branch (610 W Schubert) from 9am - 12pm. For instructions on what to do in advance and more on the volunteer process, see the sign-up sheet: https://www.evite.com/signup-sheet/5102812613836800
