Congrats to the 5th & 6th grade girls for winning their division championship game today! They had an undefeated season and won the championship game 5-2! Way to go Pumas! Special shoutout to Ms. Emma for being such a wonderful coach to them this season! Puma Pride!!!!!!!

Please consider donating to this Donors Choose project to help give our students a GaGa ball pit! This project covers the brackets, structural composite board, rules, and balls. Gaga is a fast paced, high energy sport played in an octagonal pit. The game is played with a soft foam ball, and combines the skills of dodging, striking, running, and jumping, while trying to hit opponents with a ball below the knees. FYI for any students (boys and girls, K-5th) who are interested in joining a local Cubscout troop. There are several CICS-IP families active with the troop and highly recommend it. Students can join at anytime, so don’t worry if you can’t make the first meeting on Sept. 22. Any questions, please let us know.

If your schedule allows, please join other CICS-IP families at Independence Park (3945 N Springfield) after the 1pm dismissal next Tues. We’ll gather under a shade tree closest to the playground. Bring a blanket or chair and snacks for your crew or enough to share (or just bring yourself and kids🙂) Super informal outing to reunite with those you know and/or to meet new families.

A little late with this post, but this is another example of why we love CICS-IP. Our school has been involved with the Chicago Children’s Choir for six years. Last week, we had 15 CICS-IP students performing with 1,500 other Chicago students at Millennium Park.
