Abstaining from a vote and choosing to stay quiet IS a Vote to NOT stand up for our kids!

When we teach math, we show our kids that you can't count on something that you have no guarantee off, and yet, we have board members voting to pass a bandaid budget that will cause more disruptions and costs us more in the long run.

History repeating itself because math and history are failing subjects for some of our boardmembers!

This forced learning disruption from CTU at the cost of parents, students and our hard paid taxes is contrary to what it means to have a transparent and democratic union.

Teachers are prepping for tests.
Eight graders are attempting to finish assignments and start preparing for the celebration of their final year.

Our parents & students deserve a voice in this!

Chicago Public Schools will be in session on May 1, International Workers’ Day, with classes focused on civic engagement and student voice, and a 1 p.m. rally at Union Park.
