The count down to the last Campfire on Campus of fall 2018 is on! Join us at 8PM TONIGHT in the Winthrop Playlot (between Simpson and Seattle) for a campfire and s'mores! Fire dies down at 10pm.

Vegan marshmallows are also available!

The rock wall will be closed this Saturday (Nov. 10th) while our staff participate in an Adaptive Climbing training. The wall will re-open as normal on Sunday (Nov. 11th).

For individuals with physical disabilities and open to all experience levels for climbing! Whether you are new to the sport, or a seasoned climber, join us on Sunday, November 11th from 9AM to 12PM for an adaptive climbing clinic and shared learning experience by helping provide hands-on educational opportunities for the climbing facilitators attending a 2-day ACI Course.

Bring in the weekend with a s'more! Campfire on Campus: TONIGHT, 8pm-10pm, Winthrop Playlot (inbetween Simpson and Seattle).

Have a s'more (or two or three...), hang out by the campfire, and enjoy time spent with friends new and old.

In August, students got a bird's eye view of the Mississippi River during the Start the Fire program. Now, students on the Fall Break Campout will get to wake up on the shores of the Mississippi River. Our campsite is located right along the riverside!

Fall Break Campout at Loud Thunder Forest Preserve; Oct 6th-8th, $45 covers all meals, gear, and gets you a Ramble Outdoors t-shirt (earned by sleeping outside with Ramble Outdoors!).

Registration ends 11:59pm, Wednesday, October 3rd; register at the front desk in Halas or online (campusrec.luc.edu)

WHO ARE WE?

The Outdoor Experiential Education program (Ramble Outdoors) is an area of Loyola University Chicago’s Campus Recreation dedicated to providing opportunities for urban students to connect with each other and the outdoors in meaningful ways.

There are five main portions of the Ramble Outdoors program:

Equipment Rental – Outdoor equipment is available to rent from the Ramble Outdoors program for Loyola student, faculty, and staff.

Group Development – Customized group development (team-building) programs focused to create unique, beneficial, and engaging experiences for groups hoping to grow as a team.
