Today some our council members in LARES Leaders had the opportunity to meet Senator Martin A. Sandoval. Thank you to Jennifer Juarez and Lares UIC for providing us with the opportunity ✊🏽🙂.

to our Council's Free STI workshop last week. We had over 40 UIC students learn about different sexually transmitted infections, precautions, and other procedures related to the topic. We also reached our goal to get at least 30 people registered to get tested. A big thank you goes to for helping us with the event and for the amazing services provided. The UIC Wellness Center for providing free giveaways and information, as well as .esita from who also gave us information on some of their services.

"Being the President of Sigma Lambda Beta is definitely a humbling honor. Honestly, being President was never a thought that crossed my mind as a brother of 3 years but many of my brothers would bring up the thought of me being President. After giving it a considerate thought I accepted the nomination and bam here I am. It means a lot to be the President of this great organization knowing that I have the full support of my chapter and alumni. Knowing that my brothers want me to be great and are willing to push me to do great things. For example, this position has helped me get out of my comfort zone, be more responsible, and learn to grow as a leader. For that I am forever grateful to this Fraternity and my brothers for this opportunity."

The Latino Greek Council has partnered up with the Howard Health Center and The UIC Wellness Center to provide all UIC students a FREE STI workshop. The event consists of an STI interactive informational and services led by a Howard Brown Center professional.

The brothers of LSU would like to invite you to join us, as we get closer and closer to making revolutionary history at UIC. Please note that the term "Latino", found in the fraternity's name, pays homage to the founding fathers of the organization. With that said, yes this organization is rooted in Latino culture, but it is not however Latino-exclusive. Additionally, the names of our chapters do not embody the Greek Alphabet (Alpha, Beta, Gamma, etc) as our founding brothers conduct research for identifying a diverse and cultural meaning to each establishment. Come out and learn what makes LSU one of the most diverse fraternities in the nation with brothers from all over the world.

Today two of our organizations, Delta Psi Alpha and Lambda Theta Alpha, came together to volunteer at the Greater Chicago Food Depository. Awesome job 👏🏽

We are so proud of our council members who are currently representing the Latino Greek Council at the Association of Fraternal Leaderships & Values in Indianapolis. We can't wait for them to share what they've learned!

Congratulations to our sisters, Jamie "Leilaní" Burgos, Gaddys "Aziah" Ybarra, and Samantha "Ariya" Elizondo for winning 1st Place at Depaul's Comeback Triple S Show! We are so proud of all three of you! A special shout out for those who helped raise over $1000 for not only one but THREE undocumented students who reside in the Chicagoland Area! We would like to thank Depaul Gammas and DePaul Betas (SLB - Sigma Alpha Chapter) for hosting this amazing event! 💕💜
