Francis de Sales High School is committed to the education of young men and women in a Christian atmosphere as part of the mission of the Catholic Church in the Archdiocese of Chicago. The spiritual, intellectual, social and physical development of each student is the primary purpose of the educational processes at St. We believe in the right of every qualified student to have an education at St.

Therefore, we strive to develop a curriculum which allows for the acceptance of students with diverse intellectual, economic, cultural and religious backgrounds. Francis de Sales, parents and students accept the philosophy and mission of this school. Therefore, all students, whether Catholic or non-Catholic are expected to participate in Liturgies, Theology classes, retreat programs and other spiritual opportunities provided during the school year. On our part, the faculty and administration of St. Francis de Sales High School will be sensitive and respectful of various faiths of individual students. There has never been a more difficult time to be a teenager- or to be a parent of a teenager. Today's teens are faced with enormous pressures and a variety of tough choices. At St. Francis de Sales, parents and teachers can work together to provide young people with the guidance and values needed to make a smooth transition to adulthood.

To our friends and neighbors across the South Side, whether you’re finishing your first week, or Monday is day one—welcome back! 💙💛

From Gallistel, Taylor, Sadlowski, Washington, Addams, Coles, Marsh, Burnham, Bright, Grissom and Clay, to our friends at Annunciata, Immaculate Conception, Our Lady of Guadalupe, Academy of St.Benedict the African, LEARN South Chicago and Great Lakes Academy, and the many other public, charter, Catholic, and private schools serving our community—-we wish every student, teacher, staff member, and family, a safe, successful, and memorable 2026–27 school year.

We also want to give a special shoutout to our friends at East Side Little League and all their players who are starting a new school year.

Different colors. Different buildings. But one shared community with one shared goal: improving the lives and futures of those within it.

We are proud to announce that during the 2025–26 school year, St.Francis de Sales High School distributed nearly 300,000 pounds of food to families in our community.

In partnership with the Greater Chicago Food Depository, and made possible by the hard work of our students, staff, and volunteers, families were able to access fresh produce, meats, dairy products, pantry staples, and other essential groceries.

For all of us at 10155, this is about more than food. It reflects something at the heart of who we are as a school: we believe we have a responsibility to serve the community that surrounds us.

St. Francis de Sales strives to be a place where every person—regardless of race, background, income, faith, or circumstance—can walk through our doors and know that they will be seen, heard, welcomed, and helped.

Because being part of a community means giving back to it. 💙💛

Some friends reunited. Others just began writing their first chapter.

We learned. We laughed. We gave. And with each passing day, we all grew just a little bit.

We also weathered some difficult storms—literally, and kept in our thoughts those who have dealt with damage, outages, and some especially challenging days.

Through it all, we showed up for ourselves, and moreover for one another.

Week One is in the books.
