Stand-up Seminary We offer co-ed training in a six week workshop course that provides foundation skills for those looking to get started in stand-up comedy!

The Stand-Up Seminary - Level 1 - Tuesday - September 2016

The Lincoln Lodge has created The Stand-Up Seminary a beginners foundation course that strives to give prospective performers the confidence and skills they need to begin a career in standup comedy or just have some fun trying a new experience! The class requires no previous stand up comedy or writing experience and culminates with a live

performance of the material developed in class. The course is founded on the comedy principles of the critically acclaimed Lincoln Lodge, a national leader in
cultivating and developing new comedy talent. The teacher for this class session is Ricky Gonzalez - rickygonzalezcomedy.com

The six weekly 2 hour sessions of this course will focus on:
Joke structure. Development of material. Finding an attitude and persona. Connecting with an audience. Creating a cohesive set. Class Schedule is as follows -
Tuesday, September 6th at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 13th at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 20th at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 27th at 7:00 p.m
Tuesday, October 4th at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 11th at 7:00 p.m. Location: Class takes place at SHIEL PARK (see map) and NOT at the Lincoln Lodge! REFUND Policy: Full refunds are available any time up to 48 hours before the first class commences. Refunds after that time are at the course administrator's discretion. Once classes have commenced it is NOT possible to get either a full or partial refund. If you are unable to complete the entire course in some extenuating circumstances we can allow you to complete the course at a subsequent session provided adequate space is available. This is subject to course administrator's discretion. ROLLOVER Policy: If you are not able to participate in class after registration and the refund window has expired you can potentially roll your registration over to the next course session provided space is available.

Kelsie Huff is teaching a new class at The Lincoln Lodge this summer!

Join Write on!, a six-week writer's room style class, where you'll find a supportive environment designed to help new and seasoned comedians hone in on a writing style that keeps them creating.

🤩 If you've ever taken a class and found that writing was a struggle once the class was over, this class may be for you!

🤩 If you have been hitting open mics and can't seem to make your jokes land, this class may be for you!

🤩 If you want to use your stand-up to make MORE material like videos, sketches, or solo shows, this class may be for you!
