Your self-worth isn't supposed to come from your relationship. But for a lot of people, it does. And that's where things get complicated. When your sense of value depends on being chosen, validated, or loved by someone else, you'll accept things you never should just to keep that feeling alive.
Internal validation, healthy boundaries, self-compassion, and independence aren't things you build after you find the right person. They're what you bring into the relationship. They're what make secure love possible in the first place.
If you're waiting for someone to make you feel worthy, you'll spend a long time waiting.
