Illinois State Representative and Chicago Board of Education Member congratulate the Catalyst Maria High School Class of 2024.

Parents and community members packed the Catalyst Maria auditorium last night to celebrate the 114 graduates in the Class of 2024! The ceremony included a special remembrance in loving memory of classmate Emoni Poelinitz. On hand to celebrate was Illinois State Representative Cyril Nichols (pictured below with faculty members Mark Lenz and Juan Luis Tafolla). Earlier in the day, Chicago Board of Education Member, Rudy Lozano, Jr. extended his congratulatory wishes to the graduates via a call with Catalyst staff members Julio Velez and Alex Ramirez.

Troy Morris was an integral part of the Catalyst community for over 10 years. First as an instructional aid and then as a teacher at the Howland and Catalyst Circle Rock campuses, Troy had a profound impact on hundreds of students. Troy was an incredible teacher, mentor, and friend, and his presence will continue to be felt for years to come. Kayla Dixon is a 2013 Catalyst Circle Rock alumna. Kayla was noted for her rigor, altruism, and
lively spirit as a scholar. This great energy has been transferred into her work in the medical field.
