We did it.

When I was brought on board by the DNC to help create Gen44 in 2009, I never imagined that it would become the fundraising force it is today. Leadership at the DNC, believed in the power of Generation Obama/Gen44 and I am grateful they did because it has been an honor to serve as your finance director. We have all dedicated so much of our time and passion into developing this program, and I hope you all feel a sense of ownership in its success. This has been the most fulfilling experience for me personally and it's hard to imagine passing this on to the next director.

When times on the campaign were difficult, you gave me the strength and motivation to push through. This experience will be very hard to top and it will be even more difficult to find another motivator as good as Gen44 and re-electing President Obama!

Bottom line - you helped make this victory possible. You helped fund the infrastructure in the battle ground states that got us to 332.

Thank you so much for taking this incredible journey with us and making the victory even sweeter.

After President Obama was first elected in 2008, I couldn’t imagine what the future held for the scores of young professionals that were dedicated to hope, change, and progress. Gen44 was founded in 2009 so that we could come together and speak with one collective voice and flex our fundraising muscle in support of President Obama and Democratic candidates.

By 2011, our intimate group of DNC fundraisers from just a few cites recruited our friends and colleagues to grow Gen44 into a nationwide program of hundreds of young American donor/raisers dedicated to re-electing President Obama. I was proud to come on board and serve as your Deputy National Finance Director.

After 18 months on this campaign, I salute all of you for playing a huge role in raising the funds that were essential to re-electing POTUS #44. We did it! You are the best in the business, and I am so proud of each and every one of you. Please take a moment to reflect on what we have accomplished and let’s stay connected.
