"Mr. Williams,

Good afternoon, I hope this email finds you well. My name is Emmanuel Gray and I am a freshman at Villanova University.

We met on Monday during the Black Cultural Society event that you hosted. I wanted to thank you for your time and your advice.

Your advice on financial landscaping changed my views on making and saving money. I found your financial thermostat analogy very helpful. The idea of the “and" also stuck with me, showing me that I do not have to always make a choice between things that I want to do in life.

I appreciated the way you began the discussion by instructing us to write down whether our physical desires, emotions, mind or spirituality was driving our lives. At first, I found my self writing these four aspects in the order that I want my life to be driven by. However, as you were speaking, I realized that my life was not being driven the way I wrote it. This exercise revealed to me that I often let my physical desires and emotions drive my day while my mind and spirituality sit in the back seat. The exercise was truly an eye opener, and will definitely resonate with me throughout the rest of my life. "
