Urban Prep Academies celebrated its newest Freshman Class at the 17th Annual Convocation. Family members and friends gathered together to witness the young men of the Class of 2026 don their Urban Prep blazers for the first time.

The Signing Day tradition was started to focus on where a high school athlete would go on to play sports. This tradition inspired one of our own: Urban Prep's College Signing Day. For us, though, it's not about the sports; it's about academics and preparing for life after high school.

Urban Prep's Thirteenth Annual College Signing Day will be held Thursday, May 19th outside Daley Plaza (50 W. Washington Street) at 12 Noon. This year marks the first time since the pandemic began that we will be able to publicly acknowledge and celebrate our seniors for this tremendous accomplishment. During Urban Prep's Signing Day, our seniors will publicly announce their final college choices from the 441 different college admissions they've received.

If you're in downtown Chicago on Thursday afternoon, please swing by Daley Plaza to see a bit of Urban Prep's Signing Day and cheer on our seniors as they take this next step on their journey to and through college.
