GSU’s Solidarity Committee is hosting a pride movie night on Wednesday June 25, 2025 at the Augustana Lutheran Church! We will be watching Pride (2014), a film based on a true story about how LGBTQ+ activists supported the British Miner’s Strike in 1984. Join us thursday 10/24 at 5pm for a teach-in covering the basics of online privacy and security through concrete steps and hands-on activities. Steward recruitment is in full swing! A robust network of stewards is critical for our strength as a union. If you are interested in becoming a steward, attend one of our trainings! On May Day 2024, we celebrate our right to free speech and protest. Today we want to highlight that it is our contractual right as grad workers at UChicago to participate in peaceful protests. Additionally, we reaffirm our commitment to the BDS movement and call for UChicago to divest from Israel’s occupation and genocide in Palestine.
