Here at AIAA at UIC we have an airplane and a rocket design team. The airplane team (DBF) designs, builds, and tests and airplane which will be used in a largely-attended competition with many other schools by the end of the school year. The rocket design team will focus on building model kit rockets and understanding the basics of rocket propulsion. The rocket team will also build a rocket for th

e Battle of the Rockets Competition. If you have an interest in any of these teams or are curious about what we do. Please feel free to show up at ERF B23 (The basement connected to SEL facing Taylor Street). There is usually at least one person there all day who would be able to help you in any way they can. Proud to announce UIC rocket team was accepted to the 2020 Intercollegiate Rocketry Engineering Competition.

With over 15 students interested in achieving a level 2 high power rocket certification, our team has drastically grown with well trained students on their way to become the new 2020 IREC team for UIC!!
