APA strives to spread Asian cultural awareness at the school as well as to provide numerous services to the community.

APA's mission is to further the profession of pharmacy through the unity of many cultures and backgrounds at UIC CoP and service to the community focused on, but not limited to, those of Asian descent. Asian Pharmacists Association (APA) was founded in 1991 with the goal of bringing about unity of pharmacy students of various cultures and backgrounds at the College of Pharmacy at University of Illinois at Chicago.

APA is looking for TWO more APA members to help with an in-person COVID vaccine presentation! This event is in collaboration with Chinese Mutual Aid Association (CMAA), a community organization in Chicago that serves underprivileged refugee and immigrant youth/adults through education programs and other social services. This would be a great leadership opportunity for pharmacy students to provide guidance to those who may not have access to reliable resources. Pharmacy students would be responsible for creating a presentation about the updated guidelines for the COVID vaccine and booster, and review proper hygiene. They would then be presenting it at CMAA in person. Contact Melody Suh ([email protected]) with any questions!

Audience: 60 children from kindergarten - 8th grade
Where: CMAA, 1016 W. Argyle Street, Chicago, IL 60640
When: Friday, March 18th from 5-6pm.
