For piano enthusiasts, this is a 1917 Baldwin model ‘E’ 5’7” (pictured as front piano). I love its character. My technician checked it out, everything is in working order, and he’ll just do some hammer filing and regulation. Maybe some day in the distant future I’d consider giving it a generous restoration, but it’s not necessary for the decent condition it’s in.
Now I can also host 2-piano concerts!

Congrats to all the Halloween Recital performers!! We had three recitals today and they were all brilliant!!

This is a special announcement. I will be performing Morton Feldman’s “Piano, Violin, Viola, Cello” with cherished string masters Dan Galat, Kelly Quesada, & Nicholas Jeffery, Sun Dec 1 at Constellation Chicago.

This is a long-awaited concert that got cancelled in April of 2020. It’s finally happening. Mark your calendars for an evening of serene and awe-inspired sounds.
