GlobeMed at UIC is looking forward to hosting Dr. Richard Novak TODAY (9/23) for a webinar from 4:30 - 5:30pm. Dr. Novak is the head of the Division of Infectious Diseases at UI Health. He is the lead investigator of the UIC clinical trial currently underway to test a COVID-19 vaccine. Dr. Novak will be discussing his team's work, the timeline for vaccine development, plans for effective distribution, herd immunity, and much more. There have been many misconceptions surrounding the vaccine, and in a time of such chaos & uncertainty, we wanted to create this space for students to hear from Dr. Novak directly & engage in critical discussion. We hope to (virtually) see you there!

Thank you to the representatives from Food Recovery Network, the UIC Wellness Center, and the UI Health Pilsen Food Pantry. Jacqueline, Jane, and Dr. Figueroa, it was a pleasure to hear all the insights you three had! Thank you to all those that attended as well ♥️
