I sometimes think about how building wealth compares with dieting. When you want to lose weight, your calorie intake should be less than what you burn in a day. We can say the same about money. To increase your savings, your spending should be less than what you earn. Simple enough, but then again, life is full of temptations. Especially when there's chocolate. The struggle is real.
