Please welcome our newest ambassador, Zachary Mendenhall, who has left a message with us, to you! ⬇️

“I have worked with Opera Aeterna for four different runs and have found the experience to be truly enriching. My personal favorite is, of course, when I played the title of Don Giovanni. Opera Aeterna has the two truly wonderful qualities of having stellar faculty who are authorities in the repertoire that gets chosen, and being the best experience of a professional environment for the beginning singer.

If you’re interested in applying for the next production, I have a limited-time discount code available. Feel free to reach out before submitting your application!”

🎉 Congratulations to Zachary as well on receiving the Encouragement Award at the IL District Laffont Competition! We are so proud of his continued success and thrilled to have him as an Opera Aeterna ambassador.

Meet Jie Lee, one of our ambassadors, who has written a message for you:

“When I saw Iolanta’s libretto for the first time, I was interested in this opera. ‘You didn’t touch my eyes. How do you know about these tears?’ I was so stunned by the lyrics. The lyric poked my heart so directly. It’s why I auditioned for this program.

As an international student, Windy City Operafest is the second training program I attended in the US. This program is intensive but good for international students. December is a busy month and holiday for American people, but this month is lonely for international students. It is a good time to learn some new repertoire! In this program, we used the shortest time for rehearsal and staging. I didn’t think I could learn one opera in that short period. I was so nervous before I came here, but we all did it! The most precious things were the two masterclasses. Students usually don’t have many masterclasses to sing during the semester. Working with these amazing faculties in OA gave me new angles to rebuild and refine my repertoire again.

If you’re interested in applying for their next production, I have one discount code available
for a limited time.”

Meet our ambassador, Frank, through a heartfelt message directly written by him, to you ⬇️

“I have truly had such a wonderful and fulfilling time with Opera Aeterna: Windy City Operafest. I first joined Opera Aeterna in December 2024, and have sung in four productions with them in total.

Throughout each of these productions, the OA team provided expert and thoughtful guidance in helping all of us prepare for each production, and I have developed strong relationships with each of the faculty and other singers I got to know as colleagues and close friends. Dr. Viktoria Vizin led each production with clear, strong, and thoughtful dedication and offered thoughtful and helpful guidance in helping us prepare our roles, and Irina Feoktistova gave us detailed and dedicated instruction and diction coachings for the Russian productions and gave us thoughtful guidance in musical preparation for each production.

Additional opportunities we had included masterclasses led by the OA faculty including Viktoria Vizin and Franco Pomponi, and singing in opera gala concerts and Russian music recitals.

I strongly recommend Opera Aeterna to other singers who are looking for opportunities to grow as artists and learn roles for their repertoire. If you’re interested in applying, I have one discount code available. Feel free to reach out to me while you’re applying, to use the discount code.”
