Dr. Maria J. McManus, Principal STEM Magnet Academy opened its doors to Kindergarten - Third grade students on September 6, 2011.
The STEM Magnet Academy is the very first Chicago Public School with Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics as its educational foci. Each year, STEM will add a grade until it services students in grades Kindergarten - Eight. Education at STEM Magnet Academy: The acronym STEM stands for science, technology, engineering and math.
